Organic Industrial Chemicals
The English name of heat conductive oil is Thermal conductive oil.
Heat transfer oil has the properties of thermal cracking resistance and chemical oxidation, good heat transfer efficiency, fast heat dissipation, and good thermal stability. As a heat transfer medium for industrial oils, heat transfer oil has the following characteristics: it can obtain very high operating temperatures under almost atmospheric pressure conditions. That is, it can greatly reduce the operating pressure and safety requirements of the high-temperature heating system, and improve the reliability of the system and equipment; It can meet the process requirements of heating and cooling at different temperatures in a wider temperature range, or realize the process requirements of high-temperature heating and low-temperature cooling with the same heat transfer oil in the same system. i.e., it can reduce the complexity of systems and operations; The water treatment system and equipment are omitted, which improves the thermal efficiency of the system and reduces the maintenance workload of equipment and pipelines. That is, it can reduce the initial investment and operating costs of the heating system; In the case of a system leak caused by an accident, there is a possibility of combustion when the heat transfer fluid meets an open flame, which is a problem with the heat transfer oil system compared to the water vapor system. However, in the absence of leakage, the heat transfer oil system is operationally safer than the water and steam system because it operates at low pressure. Compared with molten salt, another type of high-temperature heat transfer medium, when the operating temperature is more than 400 °C, molten salt has an absolute advantage over heat transfer oil in terms of price and service life of heat transfer medium, but it is at an obvious disadvantage in other aspects, especially in the convenience of system operation, the chemical properties are more stable, and it is not as easy to ignite and burn as light oil. From the perspective of use and safety, its main characteristics are: 1. In the allowable temperature range, it has good thermal stability, less coking and long service life. 2. Within the allowable temperature range, the thermal conductivity, fluidity and pumpable performance are good. 3. Low toxicity and tasteless, does not corrode equipment, and has little impact on the environment. 4. The freezing point is low, the boiling point is higher, and the content of low boiling point components is less. Within the allowable temperature range, the vapor pressure is not high, and the evaporation loss is small. 5. When the temperature is higher than 70 °C, it will be strongly oxidized in contact with the air, and the heating working system needs to be sealed, and only allow it to contact with the air at a temperature below 70 °C. 6. The volume expansion is significant after heating, and the expansion rate is much greater than that of water. The temperature rise is 100°C, and the volume expansion rate can reach 8%~10%.
7. Cracking or condensation will occur when overheating, and coking or carbon deposition will occur in containers and pipelines.
8. When mixed with water or low boiling point components, the vapor pressure will increase significantly after heating. 9. The flash point, ignition point and spontaneous ignition point are all high, and it will not catch fire and burn in the allowable temperature and closed state.
10. According to the area where the user lives and the operating environment of the equipment, it is recommended to choose a suitable heat transfer oil with low temperature performance.
